SSC-09-053 FOR: All Deans, Department Chairs All Faculty All Concerned SUBJECT: FINAL EXAMS FOR THE FIRST SEMESTER AY 2009-2010 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- At its 173rd meeting held today, the Executive Committee (EC) decided that final examinations (adjusted as of 29 September 2009) will be administered as scheduled. However, in view of the recent calamity that affected a number of our students and faculty, faculty members may grant students who were severely affected by Typhoon Ondoy the following considerations: 1) If the student is not prepared to take the final exam within the given period the faculty members may: a) administer the final exam at a later date (only for the student concerned); or b) provide an alternative requirement to the final exam; or c) give an INC. 2) In case an INC is given for a course that is a prerequisite for a course that has to be taken in the next semester, the student may request a waiver to be allowed to enroll in the next course. This request should be addressed to the University Registrar, to be endorsed first by the student's registration adviser and the College Secretary. For your guidance. SERGIO S. CAO Chancellor
